Audero set for Sampdoria

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Italian club Sampdoria are on the verge of purchasing Emil Audero. The goalkeeper, who had been linked to a series of different clubs around Europe, now seems to be settled on making his deal with Sampdoria permanent. He has been on loan with the club since last year, with the 22 year old now being tipped to make it a permanent deal for €20 million. The news was announced by Massimo Ferrero, the club’s president, as Audero edges closer to ending his tenure with Juventus. He’s been with the Italian champions since back in 2008 during his youth club days, but he hasn’t been able to gain any kind of consistency in the first team.

Audero is a highly sought after young goalkeeper and has been for quite some time now, as he attemp…

Sancho aiming to ´bring excitement´ to Chelsea after Deadline Day move

Jadon Sancho wants to bring excitement to iconic Chelsea, and is looking to emulate idols Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba following his Deadline Day move from Manchester United.

The winger joined the Blues on a season-long loan deal which, according to widespread reports, includes an obligation to buy for between £20million and £25million.

That means Sancho would not be returning to Old Trafford, where he found first-team opportunities limited after a public falling out with head coach Erik ten Hag.

The 24-year-old, who made 83 appearances for United, spent the second half of last season on loan with former club Borussia Dortmund, helping the Bundesliga side reach their third Champions League final along the way.

Sancho appeared from the bench in the Re…

Dybala to stay at Juventus?

According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Juventus have offered Paulo Dybala a contract extension that would last until the summer of 2025. The forward has been heavily linked with a move away from the Italian champions for quite some time now, especially this past summer when it seemed as if Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United were going to be putting forward some very serious bids in an attempt to sign him.

Alas, now, it seems like Juve have turned a corner with the Argentine after it initially seemed like he wasn’t going to be featuring in any of Maurizio Sarri’s plans moving forward.

The belief is that the club have realised their initial stance was a mistake on their part, and that they’re planning on him being a big part of their future in the…

AC Milan 1-1 Napoli: Bonaventura stunner earns struggling hosts a point

Giacomo Bonaventura scored his first goal in more than a year as AC Milan drew 1-1 with fellow out-of-form side Napoli at San Siro.

Milan had lost back-to-back matches against Lazio and Juventus heading into Saturday s clash and fell behind to Hirving Lozano s close-range finish after 24 minutes.

Italy international Bonaventura, making his second start of the season, instantly hit back for Stefano Pioli s side with a goal he celebrated wildly.

Good chances went begging for Lorenzo Insigne and Ante Rebic to win the match for their respective sides, leaving Milan 13th in the table and six points behind Napoli in seventh.

Napoli soaked up plenty of early pressure and took the lead through Lozano, who reacted quickest to head in after Insigne s long-range str…

Bitesize Prediction: Western United vs Melbourne City – 07/01/24

Market: Melbourne City win

Odds: 8/11 @

Looking to extend on their recent A-League romp, Melbourne City will travel to local rivals Western United on Sunday morning.

Starting with the hosts, while Western United might have opened up the new campaign with their sights set on mounting a genuine top-half charge, John Aloisi’s side find themselves at the heart of a major A-League nightmare. Despite claiming a much-needed 2-1 win against Brisbane last month, it appears that was nothing more than a minor boost for the Tarneit-based outfit. Last seen signing off 2023 with a toothless display as they slumped to a routine 2-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle, Aloisi’s side sit rock-bottom of the A-League table. Remarkably collecting just six points from any of their …

This is a message dispatched from Tuesday, January 1, 2030, and you ve just swallowed the theory that the so-called former commander-in-cheat might legitimately win not one golf tournament but upwards of 18 against the world s elite.

The funny thing is, had it happened, perhaps it would not have been the most seismic event of the past 10 years a turbulent, anything-goes period in spo…

RB Leipzig 2-1 Atletico Madrid: Adams effort sensationally secures semi-final berth

RB Leipzig snatched a late 2-1 victory against Atletico Madrid thanks to Tyler Adams deflected strike, booking a Champions League semi-final date with Paris Saint-Germain.

Leipzig, shorn of top scorer Timo Werner following his move to Chelsea, stunned Atletico in another dramatic finish in Lisbon after Joao Felix had pulled the LaLiga club back into the tie.

Julian Nagelsmann s side matched experienced European campaigners Atletico stride for stride but looked to have lost their momentum when substitute Joao Felix cancelled out Dani Olmo s opener.

However, Adams – with the aid of a stray Stefan Savic foot – hit his first Leipzig goal to seal a maiden Champions League semi-final for the club.

Lukaku ´completed himself as a striker´ under Conte after Man Utd misery

Antonio Conte drew the best out of Romelu Lukaku at Inter after showing him support that felt lacking at Manchester United, the striker s agent has claimed.

As Conte emerges as a possible candidate to become the next United manager, should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continue to struggle, his credentials as a coach who helps players to achieve their potential have been underlined by remarks from Lukaku s representative Federico Pastorello.

When Lukaku joined Inter from United in August 2019, it was on the back of a disappointing second year at Old Trafford in which he scored 15 goals in 45 games – 32 were starts – at a rate of one every 201 minutes.

That was the fewest goals he had managed in a full season since establishing himself in the Premier League during …

Wolves 2 Manchester United 1: Young dismissed as Solskjaer´s side miss chance to go third

Ashley Young was sent off as Manchester United s Champions League qualification hopes were dented by a 2-1 Premier League defeat at Wolves on Tuesday.

United would have moved up to third in the table, ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham, with victory at Molineux but Nuno Espirito Santo s side came from behind to win thanks to a Chris Smalling own goal.

Scott McTominay s first Manchester United goal put his side ahead but Diogo Jota, who scored as Wolves knocked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer s men out of the FA Cup last month, levelled.

Young s dismissal, the 100th of Mike Dean s Premier League career, came for a foul on Jota and in the 77th minute Smalling bundled the ball into his own net to ensure United have now lost three of their last four matches in all competitions.…
