Arsenal and Leeds United are set to go toe-to-toe for the signature of Club Brugge s Noa Lang, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The winger, also capable of playing as a central attacker, started out at Feyenoord but joined the youth setup of Ajax in 2013. Having come through the ranks of the club s famous academy, he spent the second half of 2019-20 on loan at Twente, as well as almost the whole of 2020-21 at Club Brugge. His fine performances prompted the Belgian side to make the deal permanent this summer for a reported fee of €6 million.
This term, the 22-year-old already has eight goal involvements (four goals, four assists) from 10 appearances in all competitions, including the surprising 1-1 draw against star-studded Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Apparently, it was his performance against the Ligue 1 giants that has alerted the two Premier League clubs to his talent, though his agent recently spoke of interest from elsewhere towards the end of the summer transfer window.
