According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Italian club Sampdoria are on the verge of purchasing Emil Audero. The goalkeeper, who had been linked to a series of different clubs around Europe, now seems to be settled on making his deal with Sampdoria permanent. He has been on loan with the club since last year, with the 22 year old now being tipped to make it a permanent deal for €20 million. The news was announced by Massimo Ferrero, the club’s president, as Audero edges closer to ending his tenure with Juventus. He’s been with the Italian champions since back in 2008 during his youth club days, but he hasn’t been able to gain any kind of consistency in the first team.
Audero is a highly sought after young goalkeeper and has been for quite some time now, as he attempts to guide Sampdoria towards a strong second half of the campaign.
